Answer for NUR 590 Identify two stakeholder barriers you might experience during the implementation phase of your EBP project
Re: Topic 5 DQ 2
Successful stakeholder buyin should include the inclusion of various groups. Underrepresentation refers to groups who are normally excluded from development and implementation or those who may experience inequities. Inclusion as well as social justice allows for stakeholders to contribute to decision making (Petkovic et al., 2022). With the Emergency departments (ED) being the focal point for medical treatment, it is imperative that they are triaged correctly to ensure that they are seen based upon severity of symptoms (Ouellet et al., 2023). With PIT implementation, ED’s could ensure safety and improve patient outcomes.
If a colleague of mines was having a difficult time obtaining the buy in of key stakeholders, I would suggest presenting proposals with graphs, reports and audits that would support the benefits of the initiative. Numerical values are crucial when making decisions that affect budgets. With numerical data, stakeholders will have a transparent view of why the initiative is needed.
